Scores of others were injured in Giza neighborhood, “some of whom are in critical condition from bullet wounds,” according to doctors cited by AFP. Four people in that district have been killed in the clashes, Yahia Moussa of the Egyptian Health Ministry confirmed to Al Jazeera. Just as the death count in clashes in Giza spiked upwards, president Morsi announced he intends to make a statement to the nation in which he will address solutions to the ongoing crisis. There was some confusion as to whether Morsi would be issuing a joint statement in conjunction with Egypt’s armed forces.
